Getting The Morning Jump started has been an absolute adventure. Being from the west coast, living in Yelm Washington all my life I always had the dream of opening my own coffee shop. There were drive-thru stands on every corner! In Washington, Starbucks is not the place to be. (Sorry Starbucks) The small specialty shops, was where we found the good coffee. My mother and I always wanted to open a shop called the Witches Brew, where we would sell not only our fabulous specialty coffee “brew”, but it would also be a small antique store where customers could purchase the furniture or other antiques they were using right in the shop. When we moved to North Carolina, we found there weren’t drive-thru coffee stands hardly anywhere! Fayetteville is the biggest military town we have ever seen. So instead of creating the “Witches Brew” like we always planned, we changed our coffee feel and went with “The Morning Jump”. This name comes from the 82nd Airborne Division whom we plan to help serve because we are so thankful for all they have sacrificed to serve our country. Our goal is to bring not just any coffee shop to Fayetteville and surrounding areas, we plan to bring the west coast style coffee culture. Here coffee isn’t just a beverage you “must have” in the morning to wake you up, it’s a pick-me-up beverage you have all day! Coffee time is all the time. It’s the “go to” drink for everyone, there’s always a coffee cup in hand.
The Morning Jump has been quite the undertaking. From hiring girls, to finding the perfect beans, creating the best layout for our building, planning the menu, and making sure our company will stand out and have the best costumer service possibly imaginable. We have traveled all over the country and the world finding the best techniques to make coffee and improve our business plans. We’ve gone to conventions in Seattle, New York, and even South Korea! Not only did we learn so much on our coffee journey, but we also had, and are still having an experience of a lifetime!
We can’t wait to get our shop on the ground and rolling! Hopefully we will be opening around Valentines day; we don’t have a set day yet. But are ecstatic to get things started. We will keep you posted on the progress… In the meantime, don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook, Follow us on Twitter, Insagram and Pinterest.
